True to the mission of promoting educational opportunities for women, education continues to be the primary philanthropy of the P.E.O. Sisterhood. In fact, the P.E.O. Sisterhood proudly sponsors no less than six international philanthropies, or projects, designed to assist women with their educational goals.
P.E.O. International has six educational projects:
- P.E.O. Educational Loan Fund (established 1907)
- Cottey College (owned by the P.E.O. Sisterhood since 1927)
- P.E.O. International Peace Scholarship (established 1949)
- P.E.O. Program for Continuing Education (established 1973)
- P.E.O. Scholar Awards (established 1991)
- P.E.O. STAR Scholarship (established 2009)
In addition to the P.E.O. International projects, Connecticut has two funds that are held in the P.E.O. Foundation and supported by CT P.E.Os:
- Connecticut Cottey College Scholarship Fund
- Connecticut P.E.O. Program For Continuing Education Fund
Local chapters also sponsor funds held in the P.E.O. Foundation. These funds are supported by members of the sponsoring chapter:
- Chapter AB Connecticut Scholarship Fund
- Karen B. Smith PCE Scholarship Fund
- Continuing Education Memorial Fund of Chapter C
- Chapter H Scholarship Fund
- Virginia Reichelt Scholarship
- Chapter P, Connecticut Memorial and Honorarium Fund
